LESSON OUTLINE
Concept
- The Transfer Car Request screen creates a request to move a Receiving Transfer Car to a Manual Bay destination.
- The destinations available are constrained by the selected transfer car.
Request a Transfer Car
- From the Scanner App Main Menu, open Transfer Car Request.
- Populate Transfer Car using one of the following methods:
- Select a transfer car from the dropdown, or
- Select the Barcode button to scan a transfer car barcode and populate the field.
- Populate Destination:
- Select a destination from the dropdown.
- If only one destination is available for the selected transfer car, Destination is read-only.
- Confirm the result:
- On success, expect a confirmation popup: “Transfer Car request has been created.”
Safe edits
- If you entered the wrong values, correct them directly and re-submit.
- If you need to restart from a clean state:
- Select Clear.
- Confirm the prompt to clear all inputs.
Verification
- Navigate to Transfer Car Request from the Main Menu Grid or Menu Drawer.
- Select a Transfer Car and confirm the Destination options populate based on that transfer car.
- Submit and confirm the success popup: “Transfer Car request has been created.”
- If you intentionally omit a required field, confirm you receive the expected prompt and that inputs are maintained.
COMMON ISSUES

Symptoms
The screen is not visible in the Main Menu Grid or Menu Drawer.
Likely cause
The user lacks the required permissions for the screen.
Checks
Confirm the user’s permissions and that the feature is expected to be available in this facility.
Fix
Escalate to an administrator to review the user’s Scanner App role/permissions for Transfer Car Request.

No destinations are available in the dropdown, or
Destination cannot be changed.
Likely cause
Destinations are constrained by the selected transfer car.
If only one destination is available, Destination will be read-only.
Checks
Confirm a Transfer Car is selected.
If Destination is read-only, confirm whether there is exactly one destination option for that transfer car.
Fix
Select a different Transfer Car (if appropriate) to see a different destination set.
If the destination list is empty for a valid transfer car, escalate as a configuration/data issue.

Checks
Confirm device connectivity.
Confirm whether the app preserved your inputs (expected) so you can retry.
Fix
Retry without re-entering values.
